An otolarynologist is a specialist that assists patients in the assessment and treatment of various conditions of the ear, nose and throat. Conditions such as infections, trauma to the area, pain, reduction of hearing and sense of smell and the appearance of abnormal growths are the most common conditions that an otolarynologist is called upon.
