Vaidotas Ruseckas: Consultant General Surgeon and Endoscopist, Bristol

Mr Vaidotas Ruseckas graduated from the Medical University of Kaunas in Lithuania and went on to work at Kaunas University Hospitals — Lithuania's largest healthcare institution — as an Abdominal Surgeon and Endoscopist. Alongside his clinical responsibilities, he also worked as a lecturer at his alma mater.

 

After relocating to the UK in 2005, Mr Ruseckas worked across several NHS Trusts, including hospitals in Cornwall, the Midlands and Newcastle. His broad experience spans the whole range of procedures, from emergency to elective, including abdominal hernia repair, appendicectomy, cholecystectomy, gastrectomy, intestinal and colonic operations, biliary duct exploration, perforated gastric ulcer, septic abdominal and soft tissue operations, using minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques where applicable.  


At Practice Plus Group, Mr Ruseckas plays an active role in gastroenterology audits, contributing to the department's achievement of Joint Advisory Group (JAG) accreditation.
