Mrs Priya Prakash delivers specialist care for a broad spectrum of eye conditions, including small-incision cataract surgery, phacoemulsification with monofocal and multifocal intraocular lenses, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye conditions, retinal vascular occlusions, intravitreal therapies, therapeutic lasers, eyelid surgery, glaucoma, dry eyes and general ophthalmology.
Mrs Prakash was awarded her medical degree in 1993, followed by a Master of Surgery in 1997. She currently holds several prominent roles, serving as a consultant ophthalmologist at Southampton University Hospital (ad hoc) and as the MAC representative for Ophthalmology at Rivers Hospital.
Actively engaged in research and clinical trials, she has acted as Principal Investigator for approved studies at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Essex. In addition, she supports the wider profession as a CESR assessor for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists of London.
