Lara Vassia: Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Plymouth
Miss Lara Vassia graduated from the University of Verona Medical School in 2000 and completed her specialist training in orthopaedic and trauma surgery at Verona University Hospital, gaining the Italian equivalent of the FRCS Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2005. Working as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon in Italy for almost 20 years has provided her with extensive experience in elective hand surgery, upper limb trauma, microsurgical reconstructions, general trauma and hip replacement surgery. Miss Vassia has been on the GMC Specialist Register since 2008 and has completed prestigious fellowship training in the UK, including paediatric hand surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital, spinal surgery at St George's Hospital, hip revision surgery at Bedford Hospital and peripheral nerve injury at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore. She has additionally completed a diploma in microsurgery at the École de Chirurgie in Paris. Her extensive international training and broad experience allow her to offer patients advanced surgical procedures with a focus on hand and upper limb procedures, trauma and complex reconstructive surgery.
