Jozsef Nemes: Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Bristol

Mr Jozsef Nemes graduated from Semmelweis University, Budapest, in 1982. Following his specialist training in trauma and orthopaedic surgery, he undertook advanced fellowship placements at the Orthopaedic Faculty of Bochum University in Germany and the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, focusing on arthroscopic knee ACL repair, shoulder and sports surgery.

 

Mr Nemes spent over 25 years at the Teaching Hospital of Szeged University in Hungary, where he was appointed Head of the Orthopaedic Department in 2004 and served as a member of the Hungarian National Board of Orthopaedics. Mr Nemes was instrumental in introducing operative hip arthroscopic procedures in Hungary and performed the country’s first hip resurfacing in 2005. He relocated to the UK in 2006, taking up a Consultant post at the Greater Manchester Surgical Centre.

 

Now practising at Practice Plus Group, Mr Nemes has a particular interest in anatomic anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, using the latest techniques, instruments and implants. He is committed to enhancing patient outcomes and takes great pride in helping individuals regain quality of life through expert surgical care.
