Alexandra Moorhouse: Private GP in Shepton Mallet and Bristol
Dr Alexandra Moorhouse has spent most of her career living and working in the South West of England, with a valuable period of experience in South Australia. She is committed to bringing NHS and private healthcare closer together to improve access and quality of care for all patients. Having a strong understanding of the pressures faced by GP practices, Alexandra has joined the Practice Plus Group team to help enhance the healthcare experience for PPG's NHS, private surgical and private GP patients.
Alexandra began her medical studies at Barts and The London School of Medicine, establishing the foundation for her career. She went on to gain experience across a range of hospital specialties in the South West of England before completing her GP training in Bristol. She continues to work as an NHS GP with BrisDoc alongside her role at Practice Plus Group.
Dr Moorhouse has a particular interest in musculoskeletal medicine and holds a BSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine and a Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine. She is also passionate about medical education and has experience teaching medical students in primary care.
