Peter Barry: Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon in London

Mr Peter Barry is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at The Royal Marsden Hospital in London, where he has both a private and NHS practice. He qualified from The University of Sydney, Australia, in 2000 and obtained fellowships in surgical oncology, sarcoma, melanoma and breast cancer at The Royal Marsden from 2000–2002. After a 10 years of practice in Australia he returned to The Royal Marsden as a consultant in August 2012.

 

Mr Barry has an interest in breast oncoplastic techniques and reconstructive options following cancer surgery as well as preventative surgery for high-risk women. He also performs ultrasound of the breast in the clinic and operating theatre to localise breast lesions and plan flaps. He has a philosophy of surgical de-escalation for primary and recurrent breast cancer and strives to achieve the best possible aesthetic and oncological outcomes for his patients.

 

Mr Barry is available for private consultation at The Royal Marsden Private Care in Cavendish Square, The Royal Marsden in Sutton and The Lister Hospital (HCA).
