Edward Seward: Consultant Gastroenterologist in London

Dr Edward Seward is a Consultant Gastroenterologist with a subspecialist interest in the diagnosis and treatment of precancer and early cancer in the bowel. He has a particular focus on colonoscopy and currently performs around one thousand procedures a year. He is Director of Endoscopy at University College London Hospital and lectures both nationally and internationally on endoscopy. He is a recognised expert in teaching colonoscopy, as well as polyp detection, characterisation and removal. His outpatient clinics specialise in management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), colon polyps and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). He is an Associate Professor at UCL with research interests in the use of AI in the colon and non-invasive diagnosis of bowel cancer, including the use of colon capsule - a tiny camera that can diagnose bowel disorders. Dr Seward is well liked by his patients for his informal style, clear explanations and technical ability. He is available for private consultation at The Wellington Hospital.
