Ms Kaveri Mandal is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Clinical Partner at Newmedica, one of the UK’s leading providers of specialist eyecare.
Her areas of interest include age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and other retinal vasculopathies, inflammatory eye disease, lens surgery, cataract surgery, clear lens surgery and refractive lens surgery. Ms Mandal completed her medical degree in India and undertook her ophthalmic training in the UK, including a fellowship at the Bristol Eye Infirmary where she gained advanced training in medical retina and uveitis. She has been a consultant ophthalmologist at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust since August 2009, where she is lead for medical retina and uveitis. She is a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, a trainer for microsurgical courses and a college tutor.
