Breast surgeon is usually a general surgeon who is trained in diagnosing and treating breast related diseases. Most common disease treated by the breast surgeon is the breast cancer. Surgeons dealing with breast cancers are also known as breast oncologists. They are trained in removing cancers and they can also perform mastectomy (removal of breast) and breast reconstruction surgery.
