About Dr Edwards-Skadowska
Dr Olena Edwards-Skadowska is a British-Ukrainian psychotherapist, born in Ukraine and raised in London.
Following a distinguished international career as CEO of a global educational consultancy, Olena made a conscious pivot to psychotherapy, training in Counselling and Psychotherapy under Professor Del Loewenthal in London. This transition was born from her own experience of overcoming burnout and depression — a journey that illuminated the profound risks to mental health posed by a society that prioritises achievement over authentic human connection.
A passionate advocate of the Aristotelian principle that flourishing individuals create flourishing communities, Olena believes that happiness is a practice and wellbeing is a cultivated skill. Her philosophy centres on helping clients rediscover meaning, build resilience, and develop sustainable psychological health.
Olena brings over twenty years of diverse experience across voluntary organisations, private practice, refugee support services, and NHS referral pathways. Her extensive expertise and adaptable therapeutic approach have earned her exceptional recognition among peers and clients through her work with Harley Therapy Practice, Pregma UK, and Kingston Women's Centre, before establishing London Trusted Therapy Harley Street in 2023.
Recognition & Achievements
Dr Edwards-Skadowska's contribution to healthcare innovation was recognised with the Outstanding Leadership Award in Mental Health at the global Health 2.0 Conference in Dubai in February 2024.
Beyond her clinical work, Olena is a published author. Her debut children's book, Anxie the Hedgehog — an allegorical story and practical guide to managing anxiety for all ages — was published in August 2024 and has since been translated into five languages, bringing accessible mental health support to families worldwide.

What people say about Dr Edwards-Skadowska
I have been seeing Dr Olena for almost a year to work through some difficult issues around parenting and my own trauma from the past that was impacting my life and the people around me. Her warm and compassionate manner, as well as incredible therapeutic knowledge, skill, and wisdom, was so much needed. From the very first session, I felt I was at the right place with the right person to help me through a very difficult time. Through the course of my sessions, I benefitted so much from our deep insightful dialogue and acquired tools for self-care and wellbeing that I shared with my family. I am very grateful to have met her on my journey — my recovery is a huge credit to her dedication and compassion.
