Grounded in internationally recognised classifications such as the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10), the clinic was founded in response to the increasing pressures and long waiting lists associated with public mental health services. Their approach is holistic, child and family-led, and focused on delivering the right support at the right time. Whether supporting infants or young adults, their clinicians remain at the forefront of mental health research, development and therapeutic practice.
Children in Mind is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team of specialists with extensive experience in child and adolescent mental health. Their practitioners are professionally registered and hold advanced qualifications in child and adolescent psychiatry, psychoanalytic psychotherapy, EMDR and cognitive behavioural therapies. Each team member contributes to a collaborative, child-centred model of care that integrates psychiatric expertise, psychotherapy and behavioural interventions.
