Mr Samir Gendy graduated with honours from Ain Shams Medical School in Cairo, Egypt, where he completed a postgraduate residency in Otolaryngology (Head and Neck Surgery) and was subsequently awarded a Master’s degree in Otolaryngology.
Mr Gendy went on to become a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and entered Higher Surgical Training in Otolaryngology as a Specialist Registrar, successfully passing the Intercollegiate Specialty Examination in Otolaryngology in Glasgow in 2007.
Following this, Mr Gendy undertook a Head and Neck Fellowship at Bradford Royal Infirmary, with an interest in benign head and neck neoplasm, voice disorders and endoscopic sinus surgery for chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps. He worked as a Locum Consultant ENT Surgeon at both the University College Dublin (UCD) Hospitals and Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust before joining Practice Plus Group.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr Gendy has actively contributed to medical education, including working as a tutor at the Children’s University Hospital, where he participated in multiple teaching initiatives for final-year medical students. He has also performed and presented nationally numerous clinical audits aimed at improving patient care.
