Waqar Jan: Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Birmingham

Mr Waqar Jan gained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Peshawar University, Pakistan, in 1991 and attained his Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) in 1998. He completed a four-year Senior Specialist Registrar Training Programme with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2005.  In 2000, Mr Jan was awarded Cork’s ‘Prize of the Year’ for the best research paper presentation and has since delivered numerous presentations.

 

Mr Jan joined Practice Plus Group Hospital, Plymouth, in 2024 as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon before relocating to the West Midlands, where he is now part of the consultant orthopaedic team at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Birmingham.  

 

He has published several research papers and has a particular interest in lower limb arthroplasty, including hip and knee replacement surgeries.
