On Friday the 13th of May, staff and management from New Hall Hospital, Salisbury’s leading private hospital, welcomed a small group of guests to officially open the recently refurbished outpatients department and the new added spinal theatre complex and day case unit.
Guests included active and retired consultants and staff, GPs and suppliers, alongside local press and radio representatives. Mark Page, CEO of Ramsay Health Care UK attended the opening and in his humorous speech he thanked all staff, but especially all those involved in the hard work and coordination of this £4 m investment, that had started just over a year ago. Two ribbons were cut on the day; one by Amanda Williams, theatre manager and Janice Holt, Day Case Unit Manager at the entrance of the new theatre which is particularly suitable for Spinal surgery. With this added capacity, this will benefit all patients across all specialities New Hall Hospital covers. After Mark Page had cut the second ribbon, together with Victoria John, Outpatients Manager at New Hall Hospital, the group of guests enjoyed a festive cake, cold drinks and canapés, served and prepared by New Hall Hospital’s very own catering and housekeeping department. All attendees enjoyed this successful festive event, that marked this big milestone for New Hall Hospital.
Fiona Taylor, General Manager at New Hall Hospital, said: “We at New Hall Hospital are delighted to officially open our new upgraded facilities and our new theatre complex, marking the end of this £4m investment stage. Ramsay Health Care is known to reinvest in their facilities and with added capacity and more efficient pathways, we will be able to see even more patients and shorten wait times for all”
