Henoch-Schönlein purpura (HSP) is an autoimmune disorder; it is prevalent in children. The symptoms of Henoch-Schönlein purpura are skin purpura, abdominal pains, bleeding in the gastrointestinal area, arthritis and conditions of the kidneys. The aetiology of this disorder is unknown. It is considered as the most common form of systemic vasculitis in young patients but it is considered rare for infants and in very young children.
