Pneumonia
Pneumonia is the inflammation of the lung tissue. This may occur in one or both lungs. Inflammation is due to an infection. Symptoms are a cough that produces thick mucus with yellow, brownish or blood-stained colour, moderate to high fever and difficulty in breathing. The bacteria Streptococcus pneumoniae causes pneumonia, and if this is not treated could result in damage of the lung tissue and further severe breathing complications.
