Ocular coherence tomography (OCT) is a high resolution imaging technique. It is most commonly used to diagnose and treat macular edema due to diabetic retinopathy, age related macular degeneration and glaucoma. OCT can diagnose these conditions at a much earlier stage than other techniques.
