Liver biopsy

Liver biopsy is a commonly performed diagnostic procedure to test for cirrhosis or other liver diseases. In this procedure a small sample of the liver tissue is collected via a hollow needle being inserted into your liver for a few seconds and then withdrwan. The tissue will then be examined under a microscope in a laboratory.
