Lip reduction
Lip reduction surgery is a type of plastic surgery used to treat protruding or bulging lips. Indications are patients born with heavy lips, patients with a cleft lip and cleft palate and patients with traumatic injuries to the lips. An incision is made and extra lip tissue is removed from inside of the lips. The incision is not visible after the procedure. Swelling and slight pain are common after the procedure.
