Intussussception is a condition where a portion of the bowel collapses into another portion os the bowel, much like a telescope. Males develop this condition more than females with two thirds of the sufferers are children under a year old. Signs are vomiting, pain,  lethargy, changes in consciousness, a palpable mass, dehydration and irritability in patients suffering from intussusception.
