Stimulated intrauterine insemination (IUI) is used as a treatment of infertility. In this technique, sperm is placed directly into the uterus with the help of a plastic tube. The timing of IUI should coincide with the timing of ovulation. Certain hormones or fertility drugs are prescribed to increase the number of eggs being produced before carrying out this procedure
