Cystoprostatectomy
Cystoprostatectomy is the removal of the bladder as well as the prostate gland. This may be recommended due to bladder and prostate cancer. This is an invasive and highly specialized procedure that removes both organs. A conduit will then have to be created to store urine, which will then be passed through a catheter. A cystoprostatectomy is recommended when chemotherapy is not a suitable option or multiple organs are affected.
