Cellulitis
Bacterial infection of the skin is called cellulitis. Any damage to the skin in the form of a cut, tattoo, bite or diseases of the skin that tear can culminate into cellulitis. Such diseases are diabetes, HIV infection, presence of excess fluid in the skin (‘oedema’), etc. The infected area is painful, red, warm and swollen. It is treated with the help of antibiotics.
