Achilles tendon repair

Achilles tendon repair is done using surgery or conservative treatment. When the Achilles tendon is ruptured there is terrible pain and inflammation, severe symptoms may need surgery. In surgical treatment the tendon is repaired through percutaneous cuts which could reduce the risk of infection. A brace or a plaster is used after surgery to allow rest and improved healing of the tendon.
