A highly experienced Obstetrician and Gynaecologist
Miss Sivaraman undertook undergraduate training at the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research in Pondicherry, India. She qualified in 1991 and moved to the UK with her family in 1999 where she has gained several years experience in Gynaecology and Obstetrics.
She received basic surgical training and initial formal training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the Glasgow region where she was exposed not only to a variety of antenatal patients but also to teaching and safe obstetric practice. She was inspired by the non-judgemental approach to clinical care and the high standards achieved by Dr C Burnett Lunan and Dr Mary Hepburn in the care of the socially disadvantaged women in Glasgow.
She undertook further specialist training in London, Newcastle, Sheffield and Pretoria, South Africa, and is experienced in a broad range of obstetrics, gynaecology and genito urinary medicine.
She now works at North Manchester General Hospital where she provides intrapartum care, Colposcopy, Hysteroscopy and General Gynaecology services in the NHS. She contributes to the Medical Education in the Hospital as the CPD Lead for the Pennine Acute Trust.
