Mr Alasdair Drake is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician with sub-specialties in colposcopy, hysteroscopy, laparoscopic surgery and endometriosis.
Mr Alasdair Drake studied medicine at Oxford University and Kings College Hospital London and graduated in 1990. He completed higher training in obstetrics and gynaecology at Portsmouth University and Southampton University Hospitals.
He then followed a two year sub-specialty training programme in gynaecological oncology at St James’s Hospital in Leeds which is the largest centre in Europe for gynaecological cancers. He subsequently worked there as Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist before moving to Hertfordshire.
Mr Drake is an experienced cancer and laparoscopic surgeon and colposcopist. He treats endometriosis, heavy periods including endometrial ablation, polycystic ovarian syndrome and other gynaecological conditions.
Mr Drake treats all gynaecological cancers including the diagnosis, assessment and surgery of new and recurrent disease and also performs screening and preventive surgery for women at high risk of gynaecological cancers.
