Younger men considering hair transplants

More men may start to look into hair transplants as actor James Nesbitt has explained the benefits they have had for him.

The 45-year-old actor has undergone two hair transplants to give him back his full head of hair.

According to reports, Nesbitt began to lose his hair several years ago, causing him "major concern".

In addition to his personal feelings about the hair loss, the star of Cold Feet explained that he reckoned his career prospects could also be damaged if he didn't look his best.

Dr Bessam Farjo, medical director of the Institute of Trichologists, who treated Nesbitt and Dragons' Den star Duncan Bannatyne, told the Daily Mail that Nesbitt is part of a trend of younger men seeking our hair transplants.

"The patients who were coming to us ten years ago were older men in their 50s and 60s wondering what to do with their disposable income," he added.

"But, today, cosmetic surgery in general is more acceptable and affordable."
