UK employee benefits prices fall

Aon Consulting says that 2009 saw a drop in prices for corporate group insurance plans in the United Kingdom, driven by competition and economic factors; "Almost uniformly, the underlying cost of providing lump sum life assurance, income protection and group critical illness to employees was cheaper in 2009 than 2008."

Premiums have been falling for these products in real terms over many years. Like other brokers, Aon has had success in driving rates down. In addition to promoting risk management, Aon tries to ensure that clients make the most of the current low rates.
