Tennis player opts for breast surgery to improve game

Breast reduction cosmetic surgery could spell the difference between one woman's dreams of making it as a tennis champion and falling by the wayside.

Romanian tennis player Simona Halep is so fed up with being impeded by her 34DD breasts that she has decided to opt for surgery to improve her performance.

Despite being aged only 17, the youngster is already ranked 317th in the world and plans to have the breast surgery later this year to safeguard her position.

Ms Halep explained her decision for deciding to undergo breast surgery: "The breasts make me uncomfortable when I play. It's the weight that troubles me, affecting my ability to react quickly".

Ms Halep hopes her breast surgery will enhance her chances of a Wimbledon title.

The current favourite to win the women's singles title at Wimbledon this year is Serena Williams, who has previously been ranked No 1 four different times.
