Simplyhealth calls for employers to support Memory Walk

For the second year running, Simplyhealth is supporting the Alzheimer's Society's Memory Walk and is calling for employers across the UK to show their support by encouraging employees to get involved this September.

Memory Walk is the Alzheimer's Society's flagship fundraising event designed to raise much needed funds and awareness for people living with dementia in the UK. All money raised is spent locally allowing thousands of people with dementia access to essential local services.

Around 120 walks are planned for September 2009 and more than 18,000 walkers expected to take part in this mass participating event raising in excess of £650,000. Simplyhealth and the Alzheimer's Society believe that these figures could be greatly increased with the support of the UK's employers.

2009 looks set to be the biggest year yet for Memory Walk.  For further information or to find the location of your local walk, please visit
