Pregnancy Open Day at London's Portland Hospital

London's Portland Hospital is opening its doors to welcome visitors on Sunday 13th September from 10:30am to 4:30pm.  This is an opportunity to visit the UK's largest, private maternity unit.

Guests are invited to tour the hospital's extensive facilities including the delivery suites, maternity wards and nurseries. Visitors can also take a look at the Maternal & Fetal Wellbeing Centre housing complementary services and Imaging Services where amazing 3D/4D ultrasound technology produces accurate moving and still images of babies whilst in their mother's womb.

Consultants and midwives will be available throughout the day to meet visitors and offer free of charge, one to one advice sessions.

With relaxation in mind complimentary massage or reflexology treatments will be offered from the hospital's therapies team (on availability).  Mums-to-be will also receive a special goodie bag to take home, packed full of exclusive products and healthcare information. Refreshments will be available throughout the day including morning pastries, a buffet lunch and afternoon tea.

Elizabeth Kyprianou, Marketing Manager of The Portland Hospital comments "Parents-to-be are warmly invited to our Pregnancy Open Day 2009.  The Open Day provides a wonderful opportunity for all parents-to-be to find out valuable pregnancy information, meet the staff, midwives and consultants and tour the hospital".  Feedback comments from previous open Days included "The day had a very good format and I felt very welcome. Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Very useful and fun. Superb".
