Pre-surgery trips for those considering cosmetic surgery abroad

Cosmetic surgery abroad is increasingly popular among individuals looking for quality treatment at a fraction of the price.

However, some individuals who are already hesitant about undertaking a cosmetic procedure may have reservations about doing so overseas

One solution is to take a pre-surgery flying visit to an overseas clinic to allay any fears and see the facilities and services that are on offer.

Alina Deeble, is the founder of Euromedica, located in Wroclaw in Poland, which organises the taster sessions for those thinking of going under the knife in Poland.

She explained: "A lot of people would love to have cosmetic surgery, but are afraid of what is involved. This way they can see first-hand what goes on in our clinic, from meeting the surgeon, through to the operating theatre and recuperating in our plush surroundings. They even get a free consultation and can chat with other patients about their surgery."

She added that by obtaining as much information before a cosmetic surgery procedure as possible, an individual's anxiety levels will be lower and their preparedness for an operation better.

In 2008, the number of individuals travelling to India to undertake cosmetic surgery increased by 35 per cent on 2007.
