Ninety one thousand clients of InterGlobal, the international private medical insurer, are now benefiting from a 24/7 security advice service provided in partnership with global security specialists red24. Members are able to access 24/7 telephone advice about their personal security in the world’s hot spots and personalised pre-travel advisories.
Members of Ultracare Plus and Comprehensive plans also benefit from access to emergency evacuation and repatriation in the event of a life-threatening situation such as political or civil unrest or a natural disaster.
InterGlobal is the only PMI provider to provide access to security advice for its clients. It has already assisted one member with a seriously ill child stranded at Moscow airport by missing paperwork and another who had misplaced her passport during a period of civil unrest in Moldova.
Kerry-Ann Turvey of InterGlobal says, “Expatriates travel the world and need the reassurance that they can access instant advice if they got caught up in a major political incident or natural disaster. That is why we have added red24 to all of our plans. red24 is the UK’s leading firm of security specialists and has assisted its clients caught up in incidents such as Hurricane Dean, the terrorist attacks in Mumbai and recent political unrest in the capital of Madagascar. They can also assist with more mundane problems such as lost passports or missing paperwork.”
Two levels of red24 cover are available free of charge to InterGlobal clients. The AdviceLine service, worth £80, is available on all UltraCare Select and Standard Plans. It provides 24/7 access to a personal security adviser via a telephone hotline, tailored travel advisories and access to the latest online security information on over 170 countries. UltraCare Plus and Comprehensive clients receive access to red24’s ActionResponse, valued at £1,250, which also includes emergency evacuation and repatriation from life threatening situations accompanied where necessary by one of red24’s expert security specialists.
