The MedicAlert Foundation based in London, has been commended for demonstrating its commitment to the health and wellbeing of its employees by receiving a Simplyhealth healthy workplace award.
The award recognises the contribution that organisations make to the welfare of employees. Winners of the award provide employees with a range of initiatives and benefits that help to keep their workforce motivated and healthy.
Chris Lunn for The MedicAlert Foundation comments: "We feel that the health and wellbeing of our 41 employees is key to the successful running of the charity. We encourage all of our employees to eat healthily and realise the importance of a healthy work and home life balance. We provide workplace risk assessments and we pay for eye tests for all VDU users. We have a return to work process after extended periods of absence that help employees to integrate back into work life more easily. As well as an employee assistance programme and onsite occupational health scheme."
