The majority shareholding in InterGlobal has been sold to Alchemy Partners LLP, a London based private equity house.
Along with this change of ownership the group has set up InterGlobal Insurance Company Limited. This is a fully FSA registered, specialist international health insurance company based in the UK.
From April, new policies will be written by InterGlobal Insurance Company.
“As an insurance company InterGlobal will be able to enhance its product and service offering to customers.” says Stephen Hartigan, group managing director.
InterGlobal, based in the UK, has offices in UAE, New Zealand, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and China.
From April the UltraCare range will have some minor product improvements, some increases in limits, and small price rises.
On the International Schools Plans, most policies have substantial premium increases.
Plans now include Chinese herbal medicine within out-patient cover.
