London private clinic offers new laser lipo

A private clinic in Wimpole Street, London, is now offering a new liposuction procedure that helps to remove fat from any part of the body.

Wimpole Aesthetic Centre now includes Vaser Liposuction on its list of treatments, a procedure that uses high frequency ultrasound to break down fat.

Dr Joshua Berkowitz, who specialises in the treatment at the private clinic, described Vaser Liposuction as a "beautifully engineered instrument".

"The introduction of a local anaesthetic solution into the layers under the skin helps to numb the area and shrink the blood vessels - in effect providing a protective cushion as the fat is broken down," he explained.

"It really is a great advance in the treatment of unwanted fat."

Vaser, which has been dubbed 'wide awake lipo' by experts, can be performed under a local anaesthetic in under an hour and patients experience ongoing improvements within the first two months after treatment.
