LHF Healthplan donates to charity

National children’s charity POD is celebrating after receiving the news that it is to receive a healthy £5,000 from Leeds-based LHFHealthplan.

The generous donation marks a 10-year relationship between POD and the Yorkshire health cash provider and will be used to fund shows at nine hospitals in and around the West Yorkshire area.

POD was established 29 years ago and in this time it has helped to bring a little magic, fun and laughter into the lives of many sick and terminally ill children.

The in-hospital shows involve magicians, musicians, puppeteers, storytellers and clowns. The charity currently funds 162 monthly shows in 141 hospitals and hospices up and down the country.

LHF Healthplan helps individuals and families take control of their basic healthcare needs. By paying as little as £3.06 per week, a member may claim up to  £95 per year on check ups or fillings at the dentist in addition to a wealth of other treatments including optical, physiotherapy and complementary therapies.
