The John Lewis Partnership, a department store chain that also owns Waitrose, is changing the name of its direct services arm, Greenbee, to John Lewis Insurance.
John Lewis Insurance, in partnership with chosen suppliers, will offer a range of insurance products developed to meet customer needs backed by the service expected from John Lewis. All existing Greenbee Insurance customers' current insurance policies will be unaffected.
The non-financial services arm of Greenbee will be closed. Travel will close in the coming months and ticket services closed at the end of August 2010. Customers existing bookings in travel and ticket services areas are unaffected.
The name Greenbee never made much sense, as it was meaningless compared to the well-known and trusted brand of John Lewis.
