Obesity treatments could help Britons to enjoy fitness holidays, which could in turn allow them to keep their weight down.
According to recent research, fitness holidays are growing in popularity.
Indeed, celebrity fitness trainer and entrepreneur Steve Halsall said that specific sports are seeing a particular boost in attendance.
"Triathlon and cycling have exploded in this country and subsequently triathlon and cycling training camps in New York and Spain particularly are very popular," said the fitness expert.
He added that the increase in popularity is down to the fact that "people want more out of their time away these days".
The comments follow news that a ski fitness holiday is on offer from Fitscape in the Italian Dolomites next season.
Furthermore, the 2010 Global Trends Report from Euromonitor International revealed that travellers are seeking "physically and mentally transformative" experiences, allowing destination spas and camps to "flourish" due to a boost in visitors.
