Bupa reduces critical illness prices

Bupa has cut the cost of its critical illness cover by an average of 3%.

The new rates mean that a 34-year-old male non-smoker, on a level policy with £250,000 sum assured over 25 years, with no exclusions, will pay £88.40 per month instead of £91.19 (3.1% reduction). A 29-year-old female non-smoker with £100,000 sum assured over 35 years on a mortgage policy, will pay £29.62 instead of £30.46 (2.8% reduction).

Steve Casey of Bupa says, "We are committed to ensuring that our critical illness cover remains an affordable five-star option, especially given these unpredictable economic times when people need to protect themselves now more than ever against the financial impact of ill health."
