Bupa International will pay all bank charges associated with the settlement of claims through wire transfer under its private health insurance policies. This change forms part of a move by Bupa International to encourage its customers to receive their claims reimbursement through wire transfer as this has been found to be much faster and more reliable than using cheques and improves the overall customer experience.
In research the customers of Bupa International told the company that having bank charges deducted from claims payments was irritating, particularly when the amount of the claim was quite small and the deduction represented a significant percentage. It is in response to this customer feedback Bupa International decided to act in this area.
