Brides aim for perfection with breast surgery

An increasing number of women are opting for breast surgery in an attempt to look perfect on their wedding day.

Cosmetic surgeons have noted a 75 per cent increase in the number of breast enlargement operations since the beginning of 2009, reports the Daily Mail.

Of that number, the aim of the girls undergoing the procedure is to ensure they have the ultimate look for their nuptials.

Those involved in wedding preparations have also been alerted to the increasing numbers of women going under the knife for their marriage ceremony.

Owner of the Mirror Mirror bridal shops in north London, Maria Yiannikaris, told the national newspaper: "Girls say, 'I need to wait for my fitting', then turn up later with very high and firm breasts."

She added that brides are now keen to show off their figure and go for a sexier look than has been traditional.

Breast surgery in the UK can cost anything from £3,400 to £5,000 for an enlargement procedure and implants usually last ten years.
