AXA Protection to expand teleunderwriting

AXA Life says teleunderwriting will form a key part of its proposition in 2008.

In particular, the firm says it plans to introduce an online scheduling service for advisers to save them from having to telephone to arrange an interview for their client.

The company says not only will this save time but it could also help those uncomfortable with obtaining a client’s medical past, and help smooth concerns surrounding non-disclosure.

Graham Harvey, managing director of Protection at AXA, says: “We’re trying to push teleunderwriting so that more can be done online.”
