Jane McGregor

Dr Jane McGregor is a Consultant Dermatologist based at The Devonshire Clinic, 16 Devonshire Street, London. She offers private diagnosis, assessment and treatment of skin conditions in London’s most renowned medical district.

Training and experience

Dr Jane McGregor graduated from Cambridge University with a first class honours degree, going on to complete her clinical medicine and pharmacology training at Guy’s Hospital in London, where she was awarded a distinction. She undertook her general medical training at Royal Brompton and Hammersmith Hospitals, becoming a member of the Royal College of Physicians before specialising in dermatology at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, one of the world’s leading centres for skin disease treatment and research.

With over 30 years’ experience in the field of dermatology, Dr McGregor is held in high regard by patients and medical peers alike. A leading figure in dermatology education in the UK, she has helped set the standards in some of London’s most prestigious teaching hospitals and is currently Director of undergraduate dermatology education at Barts and The London, a senior lecturer at Queen Mary University of London and an examiner for the University of London Final MB.

Dr McGregor is also an expert on the legal and ethical aspects of dermatology practice and her advice is sought by both those in the law and medical professions.

Dr McGregor was awarded a Doctorate of Medicine in 2000 for her work in the field of skin cancer and has since published widely on the subject in leading medical journals. She continues to play an active role in cutting edge research, currently investigating the development and treatment of skin cancer in immunosuppressed patients at the Blizard Institute of Cell and Molecular Science Centre for Cutaneous Research at Barts and The London.

As a senior lecturer at the Institute and an honorary consultant dermatologist with a special interest in photobiology and skin cancer, Dr McGregor also has a research interest in the role of drugs in UV-mediated skin cancers.
