Goodbye BUPA, hello Bupa

April 2008 will see a new logo for the health insurer, worldwide.

The group now has a collection of insurers around the world. With a few local exceptions, such as IHI in Scandinavia and Sanitas in Spain, all companies will start with Bupa.Bupa Middle East will be rebranded Bupa Arabia. 

It will take a while for all websites and literature (and computer spellcheckers) to be changed.

Why the change?

“Lower case is recognised as more modern, friendlier and approachable. It symbolises significant change and a move forward, provoking an instant and positive response.”  This is a short version of a very long explanation from Simon Sheard, Bupa Group marketing director.
