Keith Pollard is the Executive Chairman of LaingBuisson International, a provider of market intelligence, consulting and data solutions to the UK healthcare sector. Keith is a regular speaker and commentator on the independent healthcare sector and medical tourism.
Dr Luke James is the Medical Director for Bupa UK Insurance. He qualified in 1998 from UCL and brings 20 years of clinical and management experience within the NHS, predominantly as a Partner in a large GP practice delivering an innovative approach to both NHS and private healthcare. He has a strong background in clinical quality and governance having spent several years as an NHS CCG board member responsible for planned secondary care and primary care quality. In addition he has extensive experience of clinical IT system implementation and is a qualified medical educator and appraiser. Luke joined Bupa three years ago and in his previous role as Medical Director for Bupa Health Clinics has been focused on ensuring delivery of a safe, compliant and commercially viable service for their customers. He is passionate about the future of healthcare and the potential of technology and data to transform the patient journey and improve outcomes. He has two young children and when time allows is a keen sportsman continuing to play tennis and football to an ever decreasing standard!
Anne Coyne has worked for several years in healthcare provision and funding. She started her career as an NHS Management Trainee and has held management roles in several of London’s largest teaching hospitals. She has managed several units and led many capital and service changes within these hospitals. She joined Bupa and worked in a variety of functions including hospital negotiation, leading negotiations with some of the largest hospital providers in the UK, marketing to B2B customers, product development, programme management and consultant engagement. She has also led initiatives across the private health insurance industry. Her recent appointment as Consultant Relationships Manager focuses on building awareness of the role of the Private Healthcare Information Network amongst consultants, its mission to provide patients with information on consultants’ performance and fees. Anne has an MBA from Warwick and a MA in Medical Ethics and Law from King’ College London.
