Excellent experience at The Yorkshire Clinic. Nobody looks forward to having an operation or staying in hospital, I certainly didn’t. The whole experience was made as good as possible by every single member of staff at The Yorkshire Clinic. The standard of service from the reception,nursing staff, physiotherapists, X-ray staff, the theatre team, anesthetist team, cleaners & the chefs & kitchen staff was excellent. Finally, I believe I also had a top man as my surgeon, Mr. Richard Grogan. Many thanks for caring for me guys!

This was a long day. Throughout the day I felt safe and exceptionally well looked after.

I was kept fully informed of what was going to happen to me throughout.

After the first treatment, the Liver Biopsy, the half hourly observations were spot on time, very professional but, with a very pleasant light hearted feel.

My chemotherapy went ahead, as planned. I was given the opportunity to postpone as Sarah knew that I did not feel particularly well following the biopsy.

Throughout my time with the Yorkshire Clinic, Sarah, for me has been the stand out Nurse, In her care I always feel safe and exceptionally well looked after. I cannot speak too highly of her care, consideration and professional approach, but, always with a smile and a twinkle in her eyes.

My care leading up to my operation was great. The lady who showed me to my room, surgeon, anaesthetist and nurse which took me to theatre were all very good. My named nurse came and introduced herself just before I was taken to theatre so I felt after bring sat for over an hour and a half without seeing anyone it was then rushed. My aftercare in the Premier Suite on return from theatre was somewhat poor. I was monitored a couple of times in the first half hour or so. Given tea, toast and a jug of water and that was it (I was there from 7.30 am until 4pm). No offer of lunch or even to top up my water jug, qNHS manage to feed and water patients.



In the four and a half hours after returning from theatre I saw my nurse at most five times. Had no feeling in my operated arm, and was left to dress myself.



I was discharged without being asked if I required a medical certificate.



A disappointing first experience of private healthcare.

The hospital is a nice welcoming place and of a standard you would expect. The main difference is the staff, they treat you as the most important person there. From arrival at reception, to the nursing staff, ward staff, catering staff, cleaning staff all great and very caring.

The operating theatre staff are wonderful and make you feel so relaxed and cared for before and after your operation. The post operatives nurses are lovely.

Then after my stay I was referred to physiotherapy where they are all warm and welcoming. Louise my physio was brilliant, my recovery was a bit slow and my knee wouldn't bend as it should, but she was so friendly and encouraging that every little improvement felt like a huge achievement. I am now discharged and doing great.

Special mention must be made to Mr R Grogan who carried out the operation, the healing was amazingly quick and the scar is already barely visable.

I will be having my other knee done next year, hopefully by the exact same team. Surely that's the best recommendation there is!

I have been exceptionally impressed with the service The Yorkshire Clinic has provided, from start to finish. I was booked in very quickly for a consultation, as a private paying patient, and my operation was scheduled for the week after. My surgeon was very calming and professional, and I instantly felt at ease with him, and not at all worried about the procedure. To say I have a phobia of hospitals, this clinic has done a tremendous job of making me feel at ease. I normally get very anxious and panicky in a hospital environment. However, the atmosphere and people, along with the lay out of the Premier Suite feels like home, every single member of staff was so caring and professional, and made me feel like i was on holiday! Not once was i nervous! The rooms are very comforting, as are the surroundings. The food was fantastic, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Normally, I'm out of a hospital as soon as possible through fear. However, I actually wanted to stay here, and was gutted I was getting picked up! I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone, because you have done a marvellous job, and I cannot believe my fears were not even present in this environment! I would thoroughly reccommend the services to anyone, as I already have! Fantastic service, and brilliant people who have a genuine care for their patients. Well Done!
