Brachytherapy is a form of radiotherapy, used to treat a number of types of cancer. It uses a short ranged radioactive emitter, inserted directly into the tumour to provide a highly targeted source of ionising radiation. This technique can be combined with other therapies such as surgery, beam radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
The centre is aware that many of its patients are international, with some more comfortable in their home language. They provide a translation service as part of the treatment process free of charge.
