Harley Street Eye Clinic from London (aged 45 yrs) treated for Cataract Surgery

I was fortunate enough to meet Mr El-Amir earlier this year.

I have had a Cataract in my right eye for a number of years but in the last 18 months it has got significantly worse. I am a patient who only has one good eye as my left eye is lazy and has never really contributed much.

When I had a cataract assesment in May at my local NHS Hospital the Ophthalmologist told me I needed a Toric Lens, no discussion or explaination was offered.

When I bumped into Mr El-Amir he asked how the assesment went and I explained that I was told I needed a Toric Lens and didn't get told much else, he explained a few things to me about a Toric Lens that I was completely unaware off. After getting no response from the consultant I initially saw I decided to book a appointment to see Mr El-Amir.

Once he did all the examinations and measurements he needed he explained that he thought I would be better without the Toric Lens and also explained why. During this appointment I never felt rushed or that I could not ask any questions.

My surgery was 2 weeks ago and it made all the difference knowing I was in safe hands.
